Rozália Tóvaj’s Exhibition Opened at Paris Design Week

On September 4th, the exhibition New Dimensions of Blue Dyeing opened, realized through the initiative of the Paris Liszt Institute on the occasion of Paris Design Week. The exhibition draws from the shared cultural roots of the two nations, with a focus on the centuries-old tradition of blue dyeing. The young Hungarian textile artist Rozália Tóvaj’s project undertakes a contemporary reinterpretation of Hungarian blue dyeing: she transfers the visual world of traditional pattern systems onto soft materials using 3D printing. The exhibition is open until October 18th at the Czech Center in Paris.

Significant Croatian and Hungarian Female Figures Evoked by Hungarian and Croatian Artists in Zagreb

On August 27, 2025, the exhibition Femininology 2025 opened at the Liszt Institute Zagreb, which through the works of 10 Hungarian and 10 Croatian artists evokes women who, with their lives, set an example and left a lasting mark on Hungarian and Croatian culture and history. The exhibition was realized with the contribution of the Liszt Institute Zagreb, and through the collaboration of the Association of Hungarian Fine and Applied Artists and the Croatian Association of Visual Artists and Art Critics. From October 2, it can also be seen in Budapest, at the gallery of the Association of Hungarian Fine and Applied Artists.

Thousands Sang Songs from „Stephen, the King” in Csíksomlyó to Mark Hungary’s National Day

Twenty years after its original premiere, the rock opera Stephen, the King was staged in Csíksomlyó, Romania on July 5, 2003. The production had been banned in Romania before the 1990s. The choice of location carried profound national and spiritual significance. Preparations for the performance, which was attended by hundreds of thousands of spectators, began weeks in advance, with rehearsals continuing late into the night during the final ten days.

Hungarian Cultural Summer in Slovenia

In the second half of the summer, Slovenia’s cultural scene was enriched by a variety of Hungarian programs showcasing the diversity of music, literature, and creative innovation. Organized by the Liszt Institute and its partners, the events took place in Ljubljana and several rural locations, providing an opportunity to present Hungary’s cultural heritage and contemporary art, thereby strengthening Hungary’s presence in the Slovenian cultural landscape.
