Hungarian Spring Week in Manila: book and movie premiere

On 10 March, the second, expanded edition of the poetry anthology Hindi Pasisiil Ang Pagsibol, featuring the works of Hungarian poets, was launched in Manila.

The anthology, which presents poems by Sándor Petőfi and other renowned Hungarian poets in eight different Philippine languages, was presented in cooperation between the Embassy of Hungary in Manila and its local partner, Savage Mind. Building on the success of the first edition, the expanded version was also introduced on 12 March on the main stage of the Philippine Book Festival 2026 to interested readers.

Later in the day, the Hungarian musical comedy How Could I Live Without You? was screened for an audience of around one hundred people. Guests also had the chance to try kürtőskalács (chimney cake), courtesy of the Chimney Cone shop.
