Organized by the Liszt Institute New York Hungarian crossover pianist extraordinaire Norbert Káel will present an exciting solo piano recital in New York on March 12, 2024 at the Consulate General of Hungary from 7PM.

Norbert Káel creates a fusion of classical music and jazz, in his particular and special way, by using the rhythmical complexity, chords, and improvisation of jazz music, and melodic elements and also chord structures of classical music. His concerts are very popular around the world.

After finishing his classical and jazz education in Hungary, Norbert received a top scholarship to the prestigious Berklee College of music in Boston USA. Later he studied with Juilliard professor, Matti Raekallio, in New York. Since college years Norbert has been performing worldwide. His most popular projects are his solo concerts, and also performing with is jazz trio, called “Jazzical
Trio”.

About Norbert Káel

Norbert Káel has shown his talent at major festivals and concert halls of Germany, Russia, United Arab Emirates, Azerbaijan, Egypt, India, China, France, Mexico, USA, Spain, Italy, Slovenia, Ukraine, Switzerland and Norway. Recently Norbert acquired the doctorate diploma in music at Ferenc Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest, which motivates him even more to give master classes around the world. As of 2021 Norbert is an assistant professor at Ferenc Liszt Academy of Music.

In May 2023 Norbert gave a masterclass at the Jilin University of Arts in Changchun, China and the university asked Norbert to accept a guest professor position, that will start in 2024. Since 2022 Norbert has been a jury member and mentor of the prestigious television show “Virtuosos” focused on classical music. As of May 2023 Norbert was elected as member of the Hungarian Academy of Arts, the leading art association of the country. The Hungarian government also often asks Norbert to give his valued performances at the Carmelite monastery in Budapest, Hungary.
