Organized by the Liszt Institute New York one of the most brilliant young pianist of our generation, Nadin Varga will give an exciting piano recital presenting a colorful array of works on September 4, 2024 from 6:30PM at the Consulate General of Hungary in New York.
During the event, Nadin will present her own compositions as well as interactive short videos, furthermore, she will also collaborate with clarinetist Zsombor Barkóczy.

About Nadin Varga
Hungarian piano prodigy Nadin Varga started her music studies at the age of 4, first learning to play the violin. During that time, she also became interested in playing the piano and composing music. When she was 12 years old, she started focusing on these two areas more seriously and won her first piano competition.
In 2018, she achieved shared first price at the Szokolay InspirArt composing competition. her composition teacher was Zoltán Galambos. Ms. Varga graduated from the Hermann László Secondary School of Music, where her teachers were Éva Kovács (piano) and Tamás Vasvári (composition).
In 2022, she was selected for the TV round of the European Virtuosos V4+ classical music talent show, where she was awarded a special prize for composition.
Ms. Varga currently studying applied composition at the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music. Her classical composition teacher is Máté Bella, her applied composition teacher is Ádám Brandenburg.
With a grant from the Csányi Foundation, she have participated in several international composition competitions, winning numerous prizes. The Foundation has provided significant support for her university studies and has helped her travel to the IYMC Prize Winners Recitals.
At the International Youth Music Competitions she participated in the Artist of the Year competition with two pieces: a chamber piece (clarinet and piano) "Turkish Tango," which received the First Runner-Up prize, and a choral piece for mixed choir of the famous Hungarian poet Sándor Petőfi's poem "Föltámadott a tenger," which became the absolute winner.
