Bard College Conservatory of Music in Annandale-on-Hudson, NY invites students for its audition on Saturday, November 26 in Budapest, Hungary. These auditions will be hosted in-person by Bard Conservatory’s Director of Admissions, Katie Rossiter, at the Tóth Aladár Zeneiskola.
At Bard College Conservatory of Music, all undergraduates pursue a five-year program leading to two degrees: the bachelor of music degree and the bachelor of arts degree in a field other than music. The innovative curriculum of the Bard College Conservatory of Music is guided by the principle that musicians should be broadly educated in the liberal arts and sciences in order to achieve their greatest potential. Instruments offered include:
Strings: Bass, Cello, Viola, Violin
Woodwinds: Bassoon, Clarinet, Flute, Oboe
Brass: Horn, Trombone, Trumpet, Tuba
Other: Composition, Harp, Percussion, Piano, Voice

The Undergraduate Double Degree program is most suited for students who will be graduating from high school in the spring of 2023 and are looking to begin university studies in the fall of 2023. All applicants should prepare two contrasting pieces of their choice.
Bard Conservatory also offers Master of Music degrees in Vocal Arts, Choral or Orchestral Conducting, and Instrumental Arts. In addition to these master degree programs, the Conservatory offers an advanced certificate for postgraduate instrumentalists through the Advanced Performance Studies program, and a Postgraduate Collaborative Piano Fellowship, which comes with a generous yearly stipend.
Since its opening in 2005, Bard graduates have continued their education at such schools as The Juilliard School, the Curtis Institute of Music, Rice University, and the Yale School of Music. The Conservatory is proud to have many graduates from Hungary, who are now serving as the principal trombone in the Hungarian State Opera Orchestra, principal trumpet in the Hungarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, and as professors at the Liszt Academy.
Bard Conservatory also offers students generous scholarships, which may cover up to the full cost of tuition, room and board. Some international students may also participate in a one-year English language intensive program to support their studies at our English-speaking institution.
