Join us for a night of excellence featuring the queen of instruments, the organ. Organised by the Liszt Institute London together with the Filharmonia Hungary a unique concert titled „The Night of the Organs” will take place on 18 May 2024 from 6.00 pm at St Paul's Knightsbridge Church in London.

No other instrument is so diverse and unique in size, shape, and facilities. It can sound intimate or fill in for an orchestra. Its intricacy and complexity require organists to play it with their hands and feet, which impresses many. It is no coincidence that the organ has been used in church liturgies to proclaim the glory of God, but essential concert halls also require its presence. The Night of the Organs program aims to exhibit the versatility of the instrument. For several years, Filharmonia Hungary has been organising the Night of Organs in Hungary with great success, and this year it will also become an international event. The Night of the Organs is visiting the English capital. Fans of the queen of instruments and lovers of beautiful musical melodies will be treated to a concert of organ music by Ferenc Szilárd Kovács at Paul’s Knightsbridge. The organist is a professor of organ, music theory, analysis, transposition, and score playing at the University of Pécs, Faculty of Arts.

This day could be a Guinness World Record attempt, as it is almost unthinkable to simultaneously premiere a composition in so many venues. Ádám Balázs, the composer of the Oscar-winning film Everybody, was asked by Filharmonia Hungary to compose his Fanfare Ungarico for the occasion, which will be performed at every event in the world on the same day.

Be part of this unique musical program! Attendance is free, but registration is necessary.
