Müpa, a truly one-of-a-kind cultural institution in Budapest, is hosting the 18th instalment of their Jazz Showcase, one of Europe’s most important jazz talent exchanges. The free event will once again bring to the stage six extremely promising up-and-coming bands selected by a preliminary jury from a host of applicants.
This exciting three-day-long event will include afternoon concerts from:
-Márton Lukács Trio, Négyessy Barnabás Quartet (Friday 7th)
-Balázs Horváth Quartet, Tilia band (Saturday 8th)
- Dilladelphia, Szabolcs Horváth Quartet (Sunday 9th)
Each of these 50-minute concerts will be preceded by a discussion led by László Jazzkovács to help us get to know these young talents better.
With the help of their new initiative, Müpa Home, and proving that the Müpa Budapest experience knows no limits, the above performances will be broadcasted live, here: https://mupa.hu/mupa-home/kozvetitesek
You’ll also be able to vote for the orchestra you deem to be the best. After the performances featuring jazz, you can also watch the evening concerts live.
