STAMP! Exhibition

Venue:  Stockwood Discovery Centre
Stockwood Park Golf Club, London Rd, Luton LU1 4LX

Judit Szendrei stamp artist’s new exhibition opened at Stockwood Gallery, Luton under the auspices of Culture Trust Luton supported by the Liszt Institute - Hungarian Cultural Centre London.

Judit uses stamps to paint her pictures thus she creates new value by using already existing pieces of art to express her message. Her artistic work becomes tied not only to the fine art world but also to the world of stamps. 2022 is a unique year in this field as three world exhibitions will be organized in the course of only four months. The Luton exhibition will be held parallel to the London 2022 World Stamp Exhibition. The second STAMP! exhibition will be together with the Budapest Hunfilex2022 at the end of March, beginning of April followed by Helvetia 2022 exhibition in Lugano in May.

The Luton exhibition presents 44 pictures arranged into five thematic groups. 'Who am I?' asks the artist with her first three pictures followed by the question 'Where did I come from?' together of course with the answers given by her pictures. The third group allows an insight into the supportive family life followed by a series of pictures illustrating her relationship with art, nature, travel, and presents also how she looks at the world surrounding her.

The exhibition is open until 13 March, Wednesday - Sunday, 11am - 4pm
