Join us for a night of jazz and hip-hop fusion with Hungarian trio Jazzbois.

An electric live band and a vessel of the burgeoning jazz, hip-hop, and improv scene from Budapest, Jazzbois have been making waves internationally with their cosmic, beat-heavy jazz and groove.

Jazzbois is a jazz-hip-hop fusion trio from Budapest, Hungary. Their studio albums and live shows are all equally heavily rooted in improvisation and momentary self-expression; each performance is absolutely unique and daring. The debut album 'Jazzbois Goes Blunt' had a strong impact on both the jazz and hip-hop scene and had countless airplays on stations like Soulection Radio, KCRW, BBC 2, BBC 6, Worldwide FM…

Currently situated in the heart of Buda at their new studio above a club, the Hungarian trio of Bencze Molnár (Rhodes/synth), Viktor Sági (bass) and Tamás Czirják (drums) take a more considered approach to their fourth LP 'Still Blunted' and offer a snapshot into the jams, sessions, and shows they have played over the past year. The new album came after performing at the legendary Montreux Jazz Festival this summer, but before they sold out The Jazz Cafe, London, and three more venues (Paris, Antwerp, Utrecht) on their album release tour in October 2024.

From local beginnings, their music was picked up on multiple editorial playlists on Spotify & Apple Music, resulting in millions of streams. But it’s offline, live on stage, where the project comes alive. As all their songs are recorded in the moment and edited in post-production, they have to be learnt again. Live, they never play anything the same way twice, often dropping in motifs and riffs from some jazz classics.

'...Aforementioned keyboardist Bencze Molnár wore a crisp Antone’s Records hat, and when he wasn’t busy tweaking the filter to squeal out a G-funk lead, his fast fingers channeled the electro-funk ghost of Herbie Hancock. Meanwhile, Viktor Sági oscillated between thumb slaps and Thundercat fretboard heroics, proving that he’s probably the best bass player you’ll see all week. (Bootsy Collins be damned.) Drummer Tamás Czirják served as the combo’s slacker backbone, meandering through a blazed-out solo with just the right amount of J Dilla swing. It was melting-pot jazz of the highest form – shifting from frenetic prog rock riff battles to blunted trip-hop tempos…'

'As fans, we’ll continue to marvel at the free-flowing conversation and analysis that sees us dissect projects that fuse contemporary jazz with hip-hop, but it’s no doubt a language in of itself that Jazzbois have become very fluent in and will no doubt serve as continual pioneers as the sound finds new ways to evolve in the years to come.'

-UK Vibe 4/5

'It’s clear why they’re in such high demand on the live circuit. With their fluid interplay on full display, the trio’s chemistry is undeniable. Enjoy it, adore it, and spread the love with your friends!'
