On the occasion of the Hungarian Parasport Day join us for a discussion with two-times Paralympic champion, World Para Swimming Champion Dóri Pásztory!
Come and learn more about Dóri’s career, the world of para-swimming, and naturally, this year’s Olympic and Paralympic Games.

 22 February commemorates the founding of the Olivér Halassy Sports Club for Disabled in 1970, the first sports association in Hungary for people with a disability.

Dóri Pásztory is a two-time Paralympic champion, World Para Swimming Champion swimmer, sports commentator, and journalist.

She won a gold medal in the 200 m medley (SM8), a bronze medal in the 100 m butterfly (SM8) at the 2000 Sydney Paralympics, and a gold medal in the 200 m medley (SM8), and silver medals in the 100 m backstroke and a 100 m butterfly events (SM8) at the 2004 Athens Paralympics.

Between 2002 and 2006 she held the world record in the 200 m medley (SM8).
In both 2000 and 2004, she was chosen as Para Athlete of the Year in Hungary.

After retiring from swimming, she became a sports commentator at Eurosport.
She is currently living in England and works as a swim coach and journalist.
