Join us for an evening with the Bendegúz Németh Quartet, where contemporary jazz meets raw, genre-defying energy.

The story of the Bendegúz Németh Quartet began with the diploma concert for the master’s programme in jazz composition at the Liszt Academy. The music Németh wrote for the occasion was immortalised on the album All Over The Place, which was released in spring 2024.
The quartet’s current line-up has been active since the summer of 2024, and has presented its distinctive sound at numerous club concerts and festivals since. In August 2025, they gave a highly successful standalone concert at the Opus Jazz Club in Budapest, and recorded a new six-track live session album in September 2025.
Their music explores the borders between jazz-rock and contemporary jazz: where the raw power of blues and rock meets the improvisational freedom of jazz. The ensemble’s personal, fresh sound builds on tradition while seeking new forms of musical expression.
Members of the Quartet:
- Bendegúz Németh - guitar
- Levente Kapolcsi-Szabó – keyboard
- Áron Sárosi – bass guitar
- Bence Baranyi – drums
Registration is available via Eventbrite.
The concert is organised by the Liszt Institute – Hungarian Cultural Centre London and Müpa Budapest, within the framework of the Petőfi Cultural Program, supported by the Government of Hungary.
