In 2026, the Summer University of Debrecen, Hungary, will once again hold its traditional summer course in Hungarian language and culture, a programme with a history of nearly a century. The course is designed for those who wish to gain a deeper understanding of the Hungarian language and/or culture. Between 20 July and 13 August, both two-week and four-week courses will be available, complemented by a wide range of cultural programs in a truly international environment on the beautiful campus of the University of Debrecen, Hungary, which has been operating for more than 100 years.

Programme of Studies:
– intensive course
– 6 class units a day, 45 minutes each
– daily schedule (4 classes on Wednesdays, Cultural Workshops on Monday nights)
– groups of min. 4 up to 15 students

– special groups for heritage speakers of Hungarian
– placement test before the course starts

The age limit for participants in these courses is 16 years of age. Participants between 14 and 16 years of age can form a separate group of a minimum of 4 students.
