
Books, DVDs and CDs of the Institute’s library can be loaned and used on the spot as well. Our collection contains thousands of fiction and non-fiction publications alike, and also journals in a limited amount and for a selected time period. Hungarian literature published in Estonian and Estonian literature published in Hungarian is also available in our library and the National Library of Estonia (Rahvusraamatukogu).
For loan, you need to register yourself for what you’ll need your ID-card and contacts details. These will be saved in the catalogue program of the library. Time for loan is usually four weeks, with a possibility to renew once. Use of the library is free of charge.
The library is a so called National Audiovisual Archive (Nemzeti Audiovizuális Archívum, NAVA) point, meaning that all television programmes produced in Hungary/having a reference to Hungary or Hungarians of all public service television channels and also some of the commercial television channels with great coverage in Hungary are available for viewing.
Opening hours of the library are Mon-Thu 10-16 and Fri 10-15. We wait our guests with wifi, free coffee/tea, a reading corner and for smaller ones, a children corner with activities.
