Voicingers concert: Júlia Karosi Quartet (HU/PL/DK)
Júlia Karosi is one of Hungary's best jazz vocalists. After graduating from the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music in Budapest, Júlia started making music with her own quartet in 2010. “Hidden Roots” (released in March 2014 by Dot Time Records, New York) was her second CD as a bandleader and the follow-up to the successful album “Stroller of the City Streets” (released in February 2012 by Whereabouts Records, Japan) . “Hidden Roots” contains Júlia's original compositions and, as the name suggests, arrangements of Hungarian folk songs.
Júlia Karosi's background in classical singing is evident not only in her impeccable technique and expressive tonality, but also in her choice of repertoire and musical universe. Alongside her own compositions, the singer eagerly chooses folk songs and songs by composers such as Béla Bartók, Zoltán Kodály, George Gershwin or Stephen Sondheim, but always keeps her personal creation in the foreground, which she expresses through the means of jazz music.

Voicingers jam session: Natalia Kordiak (PL/EE/DK)
Natalia Kordiak is a Polish singer, improviser and composer. As a curious artist, she has created her own language of improvisation. In music, she values authenticity and dialogue, trying to create a space where the border between sanity and madness is blurred and reality becomes abstract. In addition to traditional singing, she treats her voice as an instrument, using different means of expression. She has been cooperating with the Warsaw State Philharmonic for many years. In 2021, she organized the international Jazzbus Showcase in cooperation with the Slovak record label Hevhetia. In 2022, she coordinated the Voicingers festival in Żory, Poland. Natalia has performed on many stages in Poland, Denmark, Czech Republic, Latvia, Holland, England, India, China and Vietnam. He is known for his extreme character and artistic vision.
