Teelahkme, Uusvada, Setomaa

This year's Finno-Ugric Film Festival (FUFF) will take place from 20 to 22 June in the beautiful landscape of Uusvada, Setomaa. The main theme of the festival, ‘Indigenous Peoples’, will bring together not only Finno-Ugric cinema, but also some surprises from elsewhere.
The Hungarian shorts program guides you to follow the rhythm of your own soul. Both “ Tavasz / Prime” and “Diamond beauty” offer deep introspection. “Cipők és paták” explores wild love through the eyes of a centaur, while “Cicaharc” follows the trail of an orange cat caught in the middle of a quirky rivalry. “Apád” delves into surreal encounters — where even meeting with God might be part of the journey.
Hungarian films on the evening of June 20:
Korom Anna – Diamond beauty
Kühnel Szabó Anita – Apád (Your Dad)
Varga Gábor – Cicaharc (Catfight)
Roszik Fruzsina – Tavasz (Prime)
Traub Viktória – Cipők és paták (Shoes and hooves)
If you don't come to Ruhnu, Ruhnu will come to you. So on June 22, get ready for a musical adventure through the sounds and memories of Ruhnu Island. The songs and stories of Ruhnu Island are a special project because it includes a cross-section of forgotten Ruhnu Swedish violin music and choral tunes performed by folk musicians Karoliina Kreintaal and Lee Taul. An interesting nuance is added to the concert by singer and storyteller Kairi Leivo. The stories, some dating back hundreds of years, give insight into a unique tradition.
