In November 2021, commemorative ceremonies and academic conferences will be held around the world to mark the 100th anniversary of the death of the orientalist Ignác Goldziher on 15 November 1921. Gondziher, a Hungarian orientalist, university professor, member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and one of the most influential figures in European Islamic studies to date.

The Hungarian Academy of Sciences, the Israel Academy of Sciences and the Avicenna Institute for Middle East Studies will hold a commemoration a on 15 November 2021 to mark the death of the orientalist Ignác Goldziher

Ignác Goldziher was the greatest figure in European Islamic studies, his invaluable correspondence is preserved in the Oriental Collection of the Library and Information Centre of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.
