Shall we dance a csardas?

Date: 28 November
Venue:  Online

Online Hungarian Táncház featuring the Rezeda Band and the Szarkaláb Folk Dance Ensemble

Within the Visiting Lecturers for Hungarian Culture program series, an online Táncház (Dance House) event avaits all interested on 28 November 2020, organized by the Hungarian visiting lecturers in Moscow and Nizhny Novgorod.

Thanks to the scope of the online implementation extended from Russia to Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan as well, many can join in the "Szabad egy csárdásra? (Shall we dance a csardas?)" program. Hungarian-speakers living in Russia are also most welcome.

The Szarkaláb Folk Dance Ensemble from Transylvania will demonstrate and teach folk dances from Kalotaszeg and Felcsík to the participants, while the Rezeda Band will play fine folk music. Dance teachers will also present the historical traditions and folk customs of the regions to be introduced. The online setting makes possible to reach many thousands of people (instead of the usual 50-100 participants) without the limitations of space and time.
