Hungarian Heritage in Canada

Date: 30 June - 31 December
Venue:  Ottawa ByTown Museum

An exhibition presenting Hungarian Heritage in Canada will be on show at the ByTown Museum in the Canadian capital from June 30 to December 31, 2020. Due to the current pandemic, the exhibition can be visited virtually on the website of the museum.

The website, presented at the exhibition, has significant cultural and national value for Hungary. Although the site was created with the intention of continuous development, visual materials and information on some of the significant built and created riches of Hungarian communities living across Canada, including important buildings, monuments and cultural centers, have already been collected for the opening. Moreover, the website showcases Hungarian heritage items that can be found throughout Canada, including works of art, Hungarian street names and introductions of settlements founded by Hungarians.

The exhibition is open to the public until the end of 2020.
