Hungarian Busós chase the cold away from India at the BuSHOW evening, organised by the Liszt Institute in New Delhi.

In 2009, the winter closing Busó carnival festivities of Mohács were inscribed on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO.

The event of the Liszt Institute in New Delhi – which will take place at the end of February together with an exhibition - will bring the Hungarian folk customs closer to the Indian public. The guests will be active participants helping to chase away the winter ghosts, as the Institute asked Indian art students to create the traditional scary busó masks, which are necessary for the festivities.
