Last year, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade launched the Smart Hungary exhibition with the aim to promote recent Hungarian innovation abroad. The exhibition includes 22 brand new and competitive products and will be presented in three cities in Europe.

The travelling exhibition presents Hungarian inventions related to digitalization and sustainability, such as a smart bike storage, a string-driven bike, a solar pavement and a hand hygiene system. The products are grouped into six topics (Smart City, Smart Mobility, Smart Leisure, Smart Sport, Smart Agriculture, Smart Healthcare) and are explained also through short films, which makes the exhibition exciting and easily understandable for the public.

Last year, the exhibition was on display in China’s biggest knowledge centres and innovation and technology fairs and in spring, it was presented at the biggest design fair in Romania. The exhibition will be on display between 6th and 11th September in Croatia in the gallery of the Zagreb University of Fine Arts. This year, Hungary is the partner country of the Croatian design event attracting 15.000 visitors each year. The jury of the event included also the curator of the Smart Hungary exhibition, Ms. Rita Mária Halasi.

The exhibition will be on display in October in Ljubljana, and in November at the Melba Design Week in Sofia.
