
The teaching of Hungarian language and culture will begin at Soochow University in Taipei in the academic year 2022/2023 within the framework of the visiting lecturer network operated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary.
The agreement establishing the framework for teaching the Hungarian language and culture was signed by the Ministry and the University on 14 April 2022. Accordingly, in the autumn of 2022, a Hungarian visiting language instructor will start working at the Department of Sociology and Political Science of the University.
Promoting Hungarian Studies (Hungarology) at international universities is a priority area of Hungarian cultural diplomacy. Due to the expansion of the visiting lecturer network, from the academic year, 2022/2023 5000 foreign students per year can take courses in Hungarian culture and language at more than 50 universities in Europe, Asia as well as North and South America.
