Spring Beckons

As the sun finally shines after the gray winter days, the first green shoots emerge from the ground, the leaves of the trees turn green, the joy stirs in our souls.

As the first harbingers of spring, in the spirit of rebirth, the artists of the Hungarian State Folk Ensemble aim to bring the past to life, to recall the uplifting atmosphere of past customs and traditions, filling everyone's soul with music.

The event is free. Please click here to register

Founded in 1951, the mission of the Hungarian National Folk Ensemble is to collect, preserve and pass on the folk art traditions of the Hungarian-speaking regions as a national value. The ensemble preserves and creates value, and operates taking into account the duality of tradition and modernity. Since the establishment of the House of Traditions, the Hungarian National Folk Ensemble has been fulfilling its mission as part of this structure. The ensemble is led by Gábor Mihályi, a Kossuth Prize-winning artist, and its artistic director is Pál István "Szalonna", a young master of folk art, Ferenc Liszt prize-winner.
