The Hungarian organist Levente Kuzma was born in Gothenburg, Sweden. He began piano lessons at an early age with his father, Robert Kuzma, who also played organ. He earned a bachelor’s degree in music pedagogy and two master’s degrees in organ performance and pedagogy at the University of Szeged, studying under László Csanádi. Levente is also certified in the method and art of Zoltán Kodály. He has won numerous prizes at organ competitions, including Organi Storici del Basso Friuli in Muzzana del Turgnano (2009), the International Organ Competition Vicenza (2010), and the Alexander Goedicke International Organ Competition in Moscow (2011). He won first place at the international organ competition Timorgelfest in Timișoara, Romania, in 2009. Mr. Kuzma is a regular guest as performer and pedagogue at prominent music festivals worldwide: Dillinger Orgelsommer, Ingolstadter Orgelsommer, TimOrgelfest, Podkarpacie Organ Festival, Orgelcomitee Melsele, Semana Internacional De Órgano De Madrid, the Festival Organistico "Harmonia Saeculi" and the "Soli Deo Gloria" Festival. He has performed with the Hungarian National Orchestra, the Szeged Symphony Orchestra, the Banatul Philharmonic of Timișoara, and the Arad Philharmonic in Romania. His repertoire ranges from the Renaissance to the 21st century, including world premieres of works by Hungarian composers. Levente Kuzma is currently organ professor at the Béla Bartók Faculty of Arts, University of Szeged, music director of the Piarist Church in Szeged, and director of the "Lieto" School of Music and Arts. Since September 2018, he has been the artistic director of the Cathedral Concert Series at the Cathedral of Our Lady in Szeged. His debut solo album, Masterworks, was released in 2017 by Waltman's Artists (UK).
