Fruzsina Varga is one of Hungary’s distinguished flutists. She studied at the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music and later at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater München, also receiving a scholarship from the Bavarian State Opera. She has performed with leading orchestras such as the Hungarian National Philharmonic, the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Munich Chamber Orchestra and even the Vienna Philharmonic, under conductors including Zubin Mehta, Bernard Haitink, Daniel Barenboim and Iván Fischer. She is a prize-winner of several international competitions, among them the Zoltán Jeney and the Syrinx Flute Competitions, and she received the Dohnányi Ernő Award in 2011 as the best orchestral artist of the year. Currently she serves as principal flutist of the Hungarian Radio Symphony Orchestra.

Anna Tonie Weber, born in Luxembourg in 1996, is performing both in solo and chamber music recitals in Europe, among others in Paris (Salle Cortot, Résidence de l’Ambassadeur, Fondation Biermans-Lapôtre, festival PianoCité), Budapest (Grand Hall of the Liszt Academy, Nádor Hall, “Night of Music” organised by the Budapest Festival Orchestra), Luxembourg, Belgium, Germany and Latvia. She is currently studying under Prof. Ludmila Berlinskaya at the École Normale de Musique de Paris Alfred Cortot (Artist Diploma - 3e cycle supérieur), following studies at the Hochschule für Musik Freiburg under Prof. Éric Le Sage (Master’s degree in piano performance) and at the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music in Budapest under Prof. Márta Gulyás, Péter Nagy and Jenő Jandó. Passionate about traditional folk music since her studies in Budapest, she often performs classical repertoire based on traditional dances and songs. Anna received scholarships from the École Normale de Musique de Paris and the Adelhausenstiftung Freiburg im Breisgau and was supported by Kultur | lx – Arts Council Luxembourg. A report on her artistic journey was broadcasted on RTL Télé Lëtzebuerg in January 2025.

This concert is realised in collaboration with the House of Luxembourg in Brussels.
