The event is organized in the framework of the "Celebration of Hungarian Science", and with the support of the Departement of Science Diplomancy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade in Hungary.

Dr. Ágnes Galgóczi: Vaccines and vaccine authorization in Hungary
Dr. Ágnes Galgóczi is a public health specialist, lawyer, currently the Head of the Department of Epidemiology and Infection Control at the National Centre for Public Health and Analyses Hungary. During the last year, she appeared multiple times on television in the press conferences of the Hungarian operational staff, where she talked about the pandemic situation of the country and the vaccine program. Ágnes Galgóczi works within the epidemiology on operating and developing of the national immunisation program, to whom she is really committed. In her presentation, she is going to talk about types of vaccines in the country and the authorization process as well.

Prof. Dr. Ferenc Jakab: Viruses transmitted from animals to humans
Dr. Ferenc Jakab is a Hungarian virologist professor, during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 the leader of the Coronavirus Research Task Force. Currently he is the Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences at the University of Pécs, scientific secretary of the Szentágothai János Research Centre and also the leader of the highest biosafety level National Virology Laboratory. In his research group they study viruses spread from animals to humans, known as viral zoonoses. His goal with his presentation is to make more people aware of the characteristics of the COVID-19 virus and the results of the research on it.
