Ákos Gubinecz, Junior Prima Award-winning folk singer and lecturer at the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music, will take us through a lively selection of songs from across the Carpathian Basin. Expect melodies from his album Határtalan férfiének (“Boundless Men’s Song”) alongside tunes from many other regions.
Known for his energetic performances, Ákos brings the depth and spirit of authentic folk music to the stage and he is full of surprises! The program will mix traditional songs with unique arrangements, featuring instruments like the zither and koboz, and of course, the human voice. From heartfelt folk songs to upbeat dance tunes, there’s something for everyone.
