"Life is for giving. I often say that our life is like a hand full of gold dust. It is a great value, a treasure. But if we don't give it for some reason, then daily life slips through our fingers." Csaba Böjte
Advent is approaching and the joy of preparation is something we all share. However, unfortunately, there are parents who, due to their living conditions cannot afford to give their children the gifts they deserve. Thinking of them now, we call you to action.
The Liszt Institute, Cultural Service of the Hungarian Embassy in Brussels orginises a CHRISTMAS SHOEBOX ACTION
We welcome all interested to join our shoebox gifts for children action, with books in French, toys or stationary, indicating the age of the child.
Please avoid at this time any food or clothing items when choosing your gift and wrap the lid and the box separately.
Boxes will be accepted between 20 November and 10 December at the Liszt Institute in Brussels during opening hours.
The gifts collected are donated to the Maison de la Mère et l'Enfant - Armée du Salut, the Salvation Army Children's and Mothers' Home in Brussels, founded by Queen Elizabeth in 1950, and to Les Foyers d'Accueil, a mother and children home specialised in families with many children.
If you have any questions, please contact us at info@bmki.be.
Address: 10 Treurenberg, 1000 Brussels
Opening time: Monday to Thursday 10 am to 5 pm, Friday 10 am to 3 pm
It's good to give!
