Veszprém-Balaton 2023, Hungary and Salzkammergut 2024, Austria, two European Capital of Culture Cities recommend the i-Portunus call to composers, musicians and singers, preferably in classical music, jazz and traditional music genres with interest in possible future cooperation.
Parameters of the i-Portunus call:
Who can apply?: Individuals or groups up to 5 people, aged 18+, of all education qualifications and levels of experience
Mobility: 1 June - 30 November 2021
Duration: 7 - 60 days
Max. grant per person: 3.000 EUR
Deadline of application: 28 February 2021
This grant includes the opportunity for the artists to travel to various destinations for up to 60 days.
Veszprém-Balaton 2023 and Salzkammergut 2024 offer winning applicants the opportunity to improve, work and perform in their ECoC environment.

Related to the application a certificate of understanding of possible collaboration can be offered in advance to the artists by Veszprém-Balaton 2023 and Salzkammergut 2024 ECoC cities. In case of a winning application, the following opportunities may be offered depending on the current situation of the COVID-19 pandemic:

Organizing concerts and workshops in VESZPRÉM, UNESCO CITY OF MUSIC and in the Balaton region in collaboration with institutions and music schools in the city and the region
Contact to musicians of the city and the region for further collaboration
Free accommodation in Veszprém up to 5 persons
Salzkammergut2024:
Contact to musicians and to concert organizers of Bad Ischl and its region to continued collaboration
