The BuSHOW came to Delhi for the second time: we are getting better and bigger to scare away the winter together!
Hungarian culture is more than 1000 years old, enriched by historical exchanges with other countries. We are proud of this cultural heritage and the mission of our cultural centre is to promote these values whether these are historical events, gastronomy, buildings, traditions, inventions or landscapes. A significant part of them are considered Hungarikums – the collective term indicating the typically Hungarian attribute, uniqueness, speciality and quality of these cultural values.
One of these Hungarikums is the Busójárás. At this time of the year, Busós appear in the streets of Mohács, a small town in the southern part of Hungary and work hard to scare off the winter.
After the BuSHOW 2022’s succes, we are bringing them again to Delhi: art works by Indian students of art and foreign cultural centres, puppet show and glass artist from Calcutta will bring the magic of the Busójárás to India for the secon time. Our goal is to make this event each year bigger, including mask culture from all around the world.
