Second best Hungarian result ever at the Tokyo Paralympics

Hungary finished 18th in the world at the XVI. Paralympic Games bringing home seven gold, five silver and four bronze medals. This was Hungary’s most successful Paralympics since 1984 (New York) regarding the number of medals.

The Hungarian Paralympic Team won a total of 16 medals, the winners are as follows:

Gold medals:

Amarilla Veres – women's wheelchair epee;
Péter Pálos – men's singles table tennis;
Fanni Illés – women's 100 meters breaststroke;
Luca Ekler – women’s 400 meters long jump;
Zsófia Konkoly – women's 100 meters butterfly;
Bianka Pap – women's 100 meters backstroke;
Pál Kiss Péter – men’s kayak single 200 meters K1

Silver medals:

Zsófia Konkoly 2x – women’s 200 meters medley and women’s 400 meters freestyle;
Bianka Pap 2x – women’s 200 meters medley and women’s 400 meters freestyle;
Richárd Osváth – wheelchair fencing

Bronze medals:

Alexa Szvitacs – women’s single table tennis;
Krisztina Dávid – women’s 10 meters air pistol;
Katalin Varga – women's KL2·Canoe sprint;
Éva Hajmási, Zsuzsanna Krajnyák, Boglárka Mező és Gyöngyi Dani– women’s foil team
