The international event has been held in the Russian capital since 2012, where Hungary is a participant each year.
This year two Hungarian graphic artists, each of them a graduate of MOME, were invited. Áron Borbély and Gergő Faragó present the Compact Studio they founded and one of their key projects, the GerillAR digital application.
GerillAR's basic idea is how we use and value advertising spaces in public spaces in the modern world. During the project, the concept of the poster will be reinterpreted using augmented reality (AR). After a digital scan of the created works, the hidden, moving content of different designers can be seen.
The Hungarian participation in the 2020 Typomania Contemporary Graphic and Design Festival takes place within the framework of the “Year of Hungarian Design in Russia” project.
