On 11 September, we invite you to an evening of klezmer music with Ferenc “Fegya” Jávori (piano, vocals) and Anna Nagy (accordion).
The concert will be preceded by a visit to the Hungaricons exhibition, which also features a work inspired by Ferenc Jávori.
About the artists
- Ferenc Jávori is the founder of the Budapest Klezmer Band and a leading figure in the revival of klezmer music in Hungary. As a pianist, composer and singer, he has brought traditional Jewish melodies to audiences worldwide, combining them with his own unique style.
- Anna Nagy is the accordionist of the Budapest Klezmer Band. Her playing adds depth and colour to the ensemble’s sound, blending seamlessly with Jávori’s piano and voice.
Together, they take the audience on a journey “around the world” in klezmer, mixing lively rhythms, heartfelt songs and stories from the tradition.
